My family and I go geocaching every weekend. I have a tiny, cheap, handheld GPS unit that we usually use to find our cache location...sometimes the cache is impossible to find just because our old unit isn't precise enough. I would so love to have a new unit...one that would give us step by step driving directions in the city and actually be able to pin point GPS coordinates accurately! My whole family would love to win this!!!

Yay! I soo want to win one because I am constantly lost. I now live back in the city I grew up in - I moved to the south for about 10 yrs in my teens, but then returned here. Upon my return, I began working as a paramedic. Forever getting lost (especially as a new resident), I would radio dispatch with my predicament - but since I was upset, and the static on the radio, combined with my southern accent, no one could understand me...making things even worse. :)
I still have absolutely no sense of direction - and I don't travel because of it. I figure if I can't find my way around a city I've lived in for so long, I might never make it home if I were to venture very far away. That's why I would love to win one. You'd be promoting my travel - therefore, increasing my world experiences. That, in turn, would further my children's educations. See how this could impact a whole generation?? ;)

Instant map updates tells me this is a system that will take me where I need to go. I always end up using mapquest or one of those before a trip, although if I leave the path it cannot tell me and set me in the right direction. This would be fantastic.

I haven't driven my car in over a year because I get lost going around the block. I have problems concerning direction. I hate to confess, but I'm that no one is able to compete with me. Let me tell you something. Once I was driving back from KL, and I parked on the other side of the road to 'feed' my car. And when it's done, I drove back to KL again without realising that I was going the wrong way. And I ended up in KL, and had to turn back again. So, I really need a GPS to guide me.

My husband and I frequently have to travel more than an hour out of our town for appointments at the Children's Hospital for our son - it would be nice to have directions to all the various clinics and labs in the Big City so we don't get lost and miss our appointments!

Compared with many of the cheap no-name GPS units sold, the TomTom One gets high marks from users on general reliability and easy to use. That means a lot when some of the family is into techy devices and my new driver is not so techy. She needs a unit that helps rather then adding further frustration to an already nervous new driver.

I love that the Tom Tom has pre-loaded maps, because sometimes map ID sites online are not accurate! Once I tried following MapQuest directions and ended up going nearly a hour out of my way to a strange destination! I cannot afford a GPS myself and winning this would be a dream!

i just got married and moved to the area my husband is from. i don't know where anything is and i've gotten lost trying to get home from new places because it seems the kids around here love to take the street signs. maybe with this GPS i could find my way home.
I love to go on trips and I usually use mapquest. But then I do not have any versatility if i get lost-- which is very often! I think this would be great for my car!

There hasn't been a road trip where I haven't gotten us hopelessly lost. The last time was in downtown Chicago and I almost started crying because I couldn't find the freeway to get home. I would love to win a TomTom. Recently we went to the UK and rented a car and figured that we needed a GPS in the vehicle for the week since we were driving lots. It was a TomTom and we loved it ... it even told us when we were speeding at what the speed limit was. I would love to win one!!!!
